Marilyn's Ghana Project

In the late sixties, my father took a sabbatical from farming and spent two years in Ghana as part of a training project. Marilyn, my sister, spent some time in Ghana with Mom and Dad.

It's now 40 years later. Marilyn, and her friend Marilyn Ganger decided to help with the education of students in the same area of Ghana where Mom and Dad were. The first year, they shipped containers of books and educational supplies. The second year, they and three other teachers conducted seminars on teaching methods.

Now, they are providing deserving girls with an education. The thing I like about Marilyn's project, is that a dollar donated is a dollar that goes to the girls. No wages for the Marilyn's. Click on the link to learn more about Marilyn's Ghana project.
